from ESPN as featured on youtube, some of these are downright hilarious...

I'd put Joey Belle and Rob Dibble just ahead of Mo Vaughn

Judging by what i read about kevin Mitchell the other day, you don't want to mess with him either.

I wouldn't want to get in a brawl with Pedro Borbon. He would bite you.

...or your hat. ;)

Dave Stewart karate kicked Pat Corrales and Jose Mesa did the same to Hal Morris. I don't like kickers.:thumbdown

I don't know, I thought charging the mound only to find yourself in an inescapable Ryan Express headlock was pretty funny. Someone should told Nolan to hit him in the face instead of the top of his head tho...

I think its funny how Park thought karate would work...he probably thought he was Jackie Chan for an instant.

I still contend no amount of martial art's knowledge will win you a street fight.

Yeah, I would have to agree that the Robin Ventura/Nolan Ryan was probably the best I have ever seen.

The one where Sandy Alomar Jr. jump kicked the pitcher in Detroit was pretty funny as well.

What was Ryan at the time, like 50? He was one bad boy Texan.

One of my favorites was Mario Soto hurling a ball at someone at Wrigley Field.

I had never before heard Pedro Martinez say "there's no crying in baseball." That was awesome.

That Izzy Alcantara clip is classic. How great is it that he'll forever be remembered for 1. a cheap shot kick to the catcher in the chest protector, 2. Jimy Williams refusing to play him because he hated him so much, and Dan Duquette refusing to send him to the minors, just to spite Jimy.

Mario did it at Atlanta Fulton-County Stadium to Claudell Washington, as sure as I'm sitting here (hint: I am, in fact, sitting here). But I also remember a brawl involving Mario and Wrigley Field... anyone have the appropriate Retrosheet link?

Nolan wasn't hitting him. He was giving him noogies.

The Rose-Harrelson one was pretty good. Poor Buddy!

And who was it that Paul Wilson got into a fight with a year or two ago? Paul came out of the short end of the stick on that one!

The Izzy Alcantara one is the best.

No doubt! I love the little karate kick to the catcher. Smooth as butter and then he's bouncing around the mound as the other guys circle around him like some cheep Japanees Kung-Fu movie! Hiiiiii Yaaa!

The one with Nolan is pretty good too. He's 40+ or something at the time isn't he? And he pretty much mops Ventura up with some serrious "noogies".

Quite a few pitchers are wimps in those videos ;)

I like how Ryan moved toward the batter instead of retreating.

Every basebrawl thread includes the ruckus of the 1984 Padres/Braves game that escaladed into the stands. Pascual Perez was involved, go figure.

Soto and Claudell Washington had a few tussels. I think Soto got tackled by Don Zimmer in Chicago as well.

Where's Brian Hunter charging the mound only to get decked by the Reds' Scott Sullivan? Sully was a setup man with super-scrappy! IIRC, Hunter got traded to the Reds and both guys served their suspensions while on the Reds... The Rockies got no penalty at all.

Boy, could we ever use Sullivan now.

Sullivan was a good ol' Southern boy with a lot of toughness. I always liked him.

The day Ray Knight dropped Cesar Cedeno at third base with a punch at Riverfront was one of the best. Ray was a tough customer.

I was there. It was awesome.

Ray told the story on XM a couple of times. It's a classic.
