View Full Version : Paul Wilson: (Shoulder) Strength Increasing

06-29-2006, 02:30 AM

Wilson (shoulder) threw a simulated game Tuesday, throwing 72 pitches in four innings, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Wilson, who was pulled off his minor league rehab assingment in May because of poor velocity and shoulder fatigue, said his shoulder felt much stronger. The Reds said they would see how his arm responds Wednesday, and that Wilson will throw a bullpen session on Thursday. "We're trying to build up his arm strength and hopefully the velocity will come up," Reds trainer Mark Mann said. "Listening to the hitters (Tuesday) it sounds as if his velocity has definitely picked up."

I think Homer has a better chance of pitching for the Reds this year than Wilson. Homer .5%. Wilson .25%

Maybe Paul needs this (and yes, I know Popeye's classic statement is ironic in the case of any Reds pitcher)

Ok... so instead of 76 MPH it's 81 MPH. Nice....

Ya gotta give Wilson credit... he's battling and really wants to come back.

I, for one, hope Wilson makes it back up to Cincinnati this season. Not for the help he would or would not provide, because we all know his better seasons are behind him...but to reward him for all his hard work and dedication to this organization.

He deserves it.

Paul...we appreciate the effort.
Now, take your $4 million and go buy yourself something nice...we're busy right now.

is he seriously throwing any less harder than Hammond? I throw harder than Hammond. My curveball is better too. I'm also left handed, I think I need a contract.
