It's probably a bit early to start speculating about what the Reds are going to do around the deadline but realistically do you see them being buyers or sellers? I've been arguing back and forth with a couple buddies of mine and I'd love to hear others feedback on the subject.

With BCast as our owner, I doubt we'll be sellers...

Depends on where the Reds stand. Lame answer I know, but the truth IMO.

The team could EASILY be 7 or 8 games over .500 or 7 or 8 below by that time.

If it is somewhere in the middle, it will be a tough call. The Reds won't sacrifice the future if they continue to fade though. Its up to the guys on the team right now to show that they need a little help, not a lot of help. We can't afford to go out and get A LOT of help. If the Reds aren't good enough the way they are right now to stay above .500, we can't expect one guy to come in and save the season all by himself. But adding a horse to a team that is already over .500 could make the difference. Its up to the current Reds, not the GM at this point IMO. The team needs to make it an easy decision for WK to give up some of the future for a good run at the postseason..
