Looks like we have ourselves a platoon at 3B and SS.

Narron has got to go.

I know why Castro is starting, and I definately don't agree with it, but why is Edwin sitting?

Why oh why does Narron keep batting Aurilia 4th? Dude must have pictures...

Well...On the bright side, Freel's leading off and Dunn's batting second.

It falls apart south of Griffey, though.

Not very impressive on paper, but it seems like we do tend to win when Aurilia
plays 1st...

I don't like Castro for FeLo, but everything else passes the look test. We need Uncle Milty to pitch like the old pro he is. We need to make a statement that we are not going to lie down and die.

I think Narron is just tired of shoddy defense.

He got it!
07-07-2006, 06:33 PM
In Narrons defense Felipe had some really weak swings last night and overall horrible at-bats and just looked tired. Not sure why the over-valuing of Castro though- the guy is a defensive replacement plain and simple.

I know this is a little OT, but I just wanted to let you all know that Jeff Brantley just said on sportscenter that Adam Dunn was the #1 homerun hitter in baseball.

Just wanted to inform you all. ;)

Brantly also said on the Dan Patrick show today that Bronson Aroyo was his first half NL Cy Young award winner.

Just to clarify, Brantley made a list of top 10 hitters that he would want at the plate in the 9th inning if he needed a home run. Dunn was #1.

I think reds win 5-2 tonight and milton Struggles but finds way to get out of jams, Coffey gets in trouble but persevere's and Guardado pitches A perfect ninth!! 1-2-3

David Ross pulls up lame on his double and is replaced by LaRue. Milton fakes the bunt and slaps a hit to left field to score another run. Freel doubles in another run. 4-0 runners on 2nd and 3rd with no one out.

4-0 Reds in the 2nd. (fingers crossed)

Just think, if Narron hadn't put out such a terrible lineup, the Reds would have at least 15 runs by now.

With the Reds up 9-0, I like the way Milton is pitching. He is not throwing the ball DOWN THE MIDDLE on every pitch. Eric has a mindset that it is 0-0.

Dunn just struck out for the 100th time this season. I will take his runs scored, walks, HR's and RBI's any day over this issue though.

Who the heck is LaRue talking to at the plate? Has he always been that way and I've never noticed, or is it just something that he's started this season? The guy looks like he's spaced out.

I THINK, Jason L. has always been that way.

It's time to listen to Tracy Jones and his EXTRA Innings show on 700WLW.

Just wanted to point out that Jeff Brantley is from Mississippi State, so of course he is a good guy. Some of my favorite memories were watching him pitch.

I missed the game last night (at the Mississippi 14 year old Dizzy Dean State Tournament) but just caught the replay on Turner South. Excellent play by Brandon on the DP. Guardado looked pretty good, too, except he was missing with his breaking ball. Three up, three down is something new from the bullpen, though.
