Sounds good to me. Can't wait to see Votto and Homer considering I have never seen either play.

Apparently he is the only 1B on the World roster, so i would assume he is.

Humberto Sanchez(Detroit) looks great out there. Detroit is loaded - they already have Jeremy Bonderman, Justin Verlander, Joel Zumaya, Zach Miner, and Wilfredo Ledezma at the major league level, all unded age 25 btw, plus Humberto Sanchez, Andrew Miller, Jordan Tata, and Jonah Nickerson in the minors.

98 mph fastball smoked for a double.

that's why he isn't in Cincinnati.:)

He'll fit right in.;)

Jpup
07-09-2006, 05:33 PM
anyone that says he can't throw in the mid to upper 90s needs to watch this. he has some smoke. It's all 96 or 97. One was at 98.

Jpup
07-09-2006, 05:35 PM
another double.

this should end the Homer to Cincy discussion for a while. too many heaters.

OnBaseMachine
07-09-2006, 05:35 PM
Bailey showing why he isn't ready for the majors - you can't sit there and throw 20 straight fastballs. You gotta mix up your pitches to keep them off balance.

Tornon
07-09-2006, 05:36 PM
Homer's pants all bloody from a blister

Jpup
07-09-2006, 05:36 PM
Homer's bleeding for some reason.:(

a blister?

OnBaseMachine
07-09-2006, 05:37 PM
Well, that blister probably explains the lack of a curveball in that inning.

Tornon
07-09-2006, 05:37 PM
Steve Phillips thinks the blister is why he only threw fastballs

NC Reds
07-09-2006, 05:44 PM
Did anybody else want to slap Steve Phillips for suggesting Homer be a reliever?

I think the blister explains a lot about pitch choice.

OnBaseMachine
07-09-2006, 05:56 PM
Votto just flied out to the wall in right.

So Homer gets the win? Nice.

Was the blister serious?

it looked bad. I expect him to miss a start or two. that is mere speculation but it was bleeding pretty bad.
