I know he left the game with a pulled muscle, any word on how he's doing?

I've seen nothing yet.

As always, when and if I do, I will let everybody know.

My guess would be day to day for now (considering there's 2 games until the break), checked out over the break and determined from there. If they have to DL him, they can always retroactivate it to yesterday.

That is exactly what I was thinking. The Reds will likely play a man short for the last two days before the break, then re-evaluate Ross on Tuesday or Wednesday before making a decision. He may even be available for pinch-hitting duty the next two days, then use someone like Mays to pinch-run for him if he gets on. (If he needs to be placed on the DL, then one or two days won't make much of a difference.)

He's in Cincinnati today....may be back for the game tomorrow, but will most likely not play.

"Slight abdominal strain" reported on FSN - after MRI. Will be re-evaluated tomorrow.

The key is they've ruled out "hernia". Good news there.

Or Ryan Freel?

Yeah, I forgot about him! What's his status?

Well, since he isn't on the 60-day DL, I'll go out on a limb and say he's "day-to-day." Tonight during the pre-game, Doc K. will say he's doing "great." He'll return to the lineup in late August.
