Have Chris Hammond or Quinton McCracken been officially released yet?

Hammond was designated on June 30, so it hasn't quite been 10 days yet.

Q was designated two days ago, so we have eight more days to trade him before he hits the waiver wire.

But no, I haven't seen any reports about either one.

Honestly I would not mind having at least McCracken in AAA as Wise has looked very rough (undisciplined) at the plate thus far!

Hammonds not so much!

two things will happen to Chris Hammond.

1 - He'll retire.

2 - He'll get traded. Someone always needs a LOOGY.

we got a low A pitcher for Dave Williams. What can we get for Hammonds? A few hotdog vendors?

I would take some of the cups that they serve LemonChills in.

I'd bet Q is done, Hammond as a lefty will always find work

I wonder does Hammond accept a AAA assignment. He might decide the Reds are his best bet to get back to the Majors.

Looks like retirement. This from rotoworld.com:

Left-hander Chris Hammond cleared waivers Wednesday and became a free agent.

Hammond was designated for assignment by the Reds on June 30.
