Thoughts on Tuesday's game??? Harang had better be on top of his game, as Clemens has been solid, although not spectacular since coming back. A win Tuesday would set the tone for the rest of the series. What are our chances?

Hes given up alteast 2 runs in every start except for his last one in which he gave up 0 runs. He really doesnt go deep into games and if you make him throw alot of pitches they could have him out by the end of the 5th.

Heres his game log from this year:
http://houston.astros.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/stats/mlb_individual_player_gamebygamelog.jsp?playerID=1 12388&statType=2

The Astros usually dont score a whole lot of runs when Clemens is pitching and is average about 3.33 runs a game in his starts this year.

well - I think we'll do just fine, sitting on our couches watching the game

However, the Reds I don't suspect will fare so well, given Clemens career numbers against the Reds

40.0IP, 31H, 11ER, 12BB, 40K, 2.48ERA, 1.08WHIP

The Reds should fare well against all of the Astros pitchers. It seems to me that the Reds handle fastball-oriented pitchers quite well, as opposed to finesse guys like Ohka, and nearly all of the Astros current pitching staff is comprised of hard-throwing guys. I expect the Reds to be patient, Clemens to nibble with fastball, running up his pitch count, and the Reds to win rather handily.

It will be 0-0 in the 7th when he leaves the game, after that I don't know.

I don't know about the Rocket but I'd say there is more than a fair chance the Reds get their heads handed to them this week on the road trip.

The question should be, "How will the Rocket fare against the Reds?"

I dunno, the reds-killer is gone from the lineup so I am really liking our chances in Houston with the way their offense looks now

I think the question is: is Harang healthy?

And will our best hitters play?

Reds will win 3-2.

Or in Reds Superfan tradition:

Reds 316, da 'stros -54. Dunn will play the whole game as an IFer, the WHOLE IF that is, with Denorfia playing the entire OF behind him. The 4 Man batting order of Deno, Dunner, LaRue, and Harang will go 144 for 171 with 42 HRs and 315 RBI, the other run will score when Deno doubles himself off 2nd but a run scores anyway. LaRue will still strike out 3 times though.

Daaaaaa Reds.

The Astros haven't given Rocket much run support. If the Reds can get a run or two off of him and another two or three runs off of the bullpen, that should be enough.

Clemens has a special game face whenever he pitches against Cinci.

It's call the Rocket's Red glare.

Thank you very much, its been nice being here, don't forget to tip your waitress.

At this stage of thier careers, Harang is probably a better pitcher than Clemens. Yes, we have reasonable shot of winning.

SOunds like reds-killer Berkman might not play.

That wouldn't hurt our chances...

Cant agree. Clemens' velocity might be down but he is still the Rocket and can still locate and setup batters better than anyone in the game right now.

That said, if the Reds can get a run or two, we have a good chance since Houstons run support resembles something like Howard Deans support after the Iowas </ Dennis Miller>
