No, the Giants are staying in it, just traded a prospect for Stanton.

Betemit would have been a nice middle infielder to go along with Phillips.

That is just what the Reds need another infielder EE would be back in Louisville

I was thinking more along the lines of a 24 year old infielder to be the DP combo with Phillips for the next few years.

Betemit would play SS for the Reds IMO

Agreed, would have loved him at SS with BP at 2b. EE at 3b. Quite a young and talented infield. Add Votto to the mix in a year or two.. but I'm dreamin...

Betemit is a good young ball player. I think the dodgers made out on this one IMO.

Looks like Linerbrink for Betemit rumors are false with LA pulling the trigger before SD can, one reason is SD bullpen is an mess right now with Trevor having bad set of games and Linerbrink just coming back from personal reason for having some days off and the others guys in bulpen cant get it done so why they could trade linerbrink for betemit. Just my thought.

For the Braves, Baez will be the setup man for Wickman, which will take some pressure off of Baez. Don't know how much playing time Aybar will see on the left side of the Braves infield.

I just wonder if the Dodgers don't have a couple infielders they would be willing to trade now that they got Betemit. How about Cesar Izturis?

Reds should be all over a Izturis trade. But i feel he will be traded in the offseason not at the deadline.

I'm not of the opinion that the Dodgers front office has a clue what they are doing.

Yes, if they're following any sort of plan, it's not apparent.
