Royals used him as a reliever earlier in the year and he seems to have been pitching good after getting moved to starter. He seemed to have good stuff, but like Standridge he has trouble throwing strikes at times.

Heres his stats as a starter this year:
1) 5 Innings, 2 Hits, 1 Run, 1 BB, 1 K
2) 6.1 Innings, 8 Hits, 3 Runs, 0 BB, 4 K
3) 6.1 Innings, 5 Hits, 3 Runs, 3 BB, 5 K
4) 6 Innings, 7 Hits, 3 Runs, 1 BB, 7 K

People talk about Luke's numbers and praise him, but then Elizardo has BETTER numbers and has come off a dominant performance and is younger, and people call it a fluke year.

good for him. I'm never surprised by Hudson. That's good and bad.

Same here. Has always had the arm, but never the consistency or makeup to sustain any success.

KC radio guys were saying last night that Hudson has been effectively using a splitter that he was discouraged using by the Reds.

As soon as those walks catch up to him, he'll start lighting up like a pinball machine.
