These stats are unreal. I was worried that his "singles" mentality lately and contact hitting might weaken his power, which it has only from a HR perspective.

Stats as of June 30th: .231 Avg/.368 obp/.560 slg
His numbers in July: .354 Avg/.451 obp/.573 slg

I love this new Adam Dunn guy we have.

RISP Pre All-Star game: .213 Avg/.390 obp/.857 slg/ 38 RBI in 75 AB's (.5 RBI/AB)
RISP in July: .500 Avg/.565 obp/.850 slg/ 15 RBI in 20 AB's (.75 RBI/AB)

I know those numbers overlap a little bit in the RISP comparison but still a good showing.

Sure he will fade back a bit, but hopefully he levels out at a better hitter than he was the start of the year (even though it wasn't really bad anyway).

Congrats Adam. You've persisted through the tomfoolery of people trying to change your game.

It's months like the July that Adam just put together that make fans drool at the possibilities for Dunn over a 20 year career.
