Probably not, it'll be hard to top that magical summer of 2003 when seemingly every Mexican Leaguer with a pulse passed through Cincinnati. But they are burning through players really quick. Brandon Watson was the 44th player the Reds used in a game this year, and Cormier and Lohse will take it to 46 already. Add in September callups, and the possibility of a waiver trade or two in August, and the team can make a run at it. I'm guessing they'll hit around 52. For comparison here's how many they've used over the past 10 years:

2005 - 46
2004 - 44
2003 - 57
2002 - 43
2001 - 50
2000 - 45
1999 - 35
1998 - 48
1997 - 50
1996 - 49

Only mid-August and we're now hitting 50. Keep it up Wayne, the record's in sight!
