View Full Version : So far, I'm disappointed...

But in listening to Buck Martinez this morning, I was expecting this. Buck said that the Reds really didn't have any real big chips to play in the game of deadline trading since the Kearns-Lopez trade. He left the impression that the deal was done too early and the Reds got fleeced.

So, if you got nobody to trade, you get nobody back. Today we traded a AAA pitcher for an old relief man and a prospect for a lousy pitcher who remind me of what we already had. Not much progress toward getting a starter, so there we have it.

1 hour 6 minutes left until the deadline.

Who cares if he is old? He is good.

I'm not impressed either, but I hope these new guys do well.

Lohse, I can see why people are skeptical.

Cormier on the other hand, I don't really see what there is to complain about.

Lets face it, the bullpen has gone to horrible to pretty good in two weeks.

Now if we can get Zito in the next hour, we can really feel good!

As Kruk pointed out...

Anyone within reach of the WC doesn't have great starters all cept Houston... And they don't have jack for an Offense.

The Rest of the teams are pretty much even... Considering Starters and Hitting... ECT.

We upgrade our Pen by adding Eddie, Gary M, Bray, Cormier, Lohse.

Look at the Wild Card/St. Louis... What have they done to improve their teams?

Not alot...

At least we still have three catchers.

At least we still have three catchers.

I could see Larue clearing waivers and getting dealt after Aug 1st.
