I know this might not be the place for this as this post isn't about discussing baseball, but this website has always amused me and since Freel is a Red...

Here is Freel: http://static.flickr.com/58/175997054_aadb6acaa5_o.jpg

And the site itself: http://itsasecretsohush.blogspot.com/

Yea...chalk this one up to "lessons not learned".

Its his life, but if I was him, I would limit my night life to playing baseball and thats it.

Hopefully one of those young females is his wife too.

Unless that picture is proof he didn't take a cab home or something, he's doing nothing wrong.

Going out to have a drink is obviously not his problem, it was making the decision to drink and drive. People can drink and have a good time responsibly, believe it or not.

Im saying if I was him, id limit the chances to DUI, act like a maniac outside a bar or anything else that could happen while intoxicated.

As Jim Tressel has said, nothing good can happen after 9pm at night.

Freel has shown signs of a problem being able to make good decisions while trashed or limiting amount he consumes to prevent getting trashed.

Nothing I said says drinking cant be a good time. My comments were directed specificaly at Freels history. If you want to get all defensive about the bar/drinking scene, be my guest. I could care less.

If he's on probation (don't know if he is or not) drinking could be a violation.

That said, I don't see beer in the bottom of the glass. I know I may be a little naive, but that could have been an ice cold Coke or water with a twist.

Not everyone has 2 DUI's though.

And not everyone goes out and gets hammered the night before a day game.

But judging by his eyes, he is trashed

That is at McFadden's I believe on 7th street.

I think he looks ticked off that they are hanging out with him. I bet he didn't know any of them before the pic, and probably didn't talk with them afterward...just a feeling though.

Tressel's philosophy deals with college students on an athletic scholarship, not grown professionals.

I'm not getting defensive about it, I don't even drink and I'm the least bit of a partier of anyone I know.

That said, Freel is considered one of the most energetic people in the clubhouse and his performance obviously hasn't suffered with whatever lifestyle he leads after games. I'd say it's no one's business what he does or how he does it. These guys are baseball players, not slaves. They have a right to a social life.

This picture proves a very important point about Freel. He has always claimed to be an honest and upright guy, but this picture proves otherwise. I was very disappointed to see this picture...

... not because he's in a bar, but because he says in his bio that he's 5 feet, 11 inches tall.

Unless those chicks play for the WBNA's Phoenix Mercury, there's no way he's pushing 6 feet tall!

That was my thought, he looks annoyed at being bothered, doesnt appear to be interested in anyone in that picture.

Not everyone has 2 DUI's though.

Does he have two? I know he has one DUI and a public intox, but I'm not sure about the second DUI.

BTW, I've read before that about 50% of first time DUI'ers get a second and something like 80% of second timers get a third. If you're stupid enough to get two, then you're probably stupid enough to get three.

It's great fun to drink, but don't drive. :beerme:

There's nothing wrong with having a good time.

What gets me is that people of his money stature drive when it is just as easy and more safe to take a Cab or a LIMO home. The potential of bad press alone would motivate me to get a ride home.

Stay Safe Ryan. :beerme:
