You may be right- Billy Joel

Friday night I crashed your party
Saturday I said I'm sorry
Sunday came and trashed me out again
I was only having fun
Wasn't hurting anyone
And we all enjoyed the weekend for a change

I've been stranded in the combat zone
I walked through Bedford Stuy alone
Even rode my motorcycle in the rain
And you told me not to drive
But I made it home alive
So you said that only proves that I'm insane

You may be right
I may be crazy
But it just might be a lunatic you're looking for
Turn out the light
Don't try to save me
You may be wrong for all I know
But you may be right

Remember how I found you there
Alone in your electric chair
I told you dirty jokes until you smiled
You were lonely for a man
I said take me as I am
'Cause you might enjoy some madness for awhile

Now think of all the years you tried to
Find someone to satisfy you
I might be as crazy as you say
If I'm crazy then it's true
That it's all because of you
And you wouldn't want me any other way

You may be right
I may be crazy
But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for
It's too late to fight
It's too late to change me
You may be wrong for all I know
But you may be right

You may be right
I may be crazy
But it just might be a lunatic you're looking for
Turn out the light
Don't try to save me
You may be wrong for all I know
But you may be right
You may be wrong but you may be right
You may be wrong but you may be right

Self-Destroyer/Paranoia-The Kinks fits this board.

"Silly boy you got so much to live for
So much to aim for, so much to try for
You're blowing it all with paranoia
Youíre so insecure you self-destroyer"

It would be a shame to ACTUALLY take a minute to enjoy the fact that the Reds are in contention. But then again, that would take time away from the bashing of Clayton, Jr., Narron, Krivs, etc...

I was told that this board is a great place for Reds discussion. Unfortunately, it seems more like a b*tch fest for wannabe players, managers and GM's who pay too much attention to fantasy baseball and not the actual game.

Come to think of it, most of the songs on Tom Petty's 'Full Moon Fever' album could apply to the Reds at one point or another this season:

'Free Fallin' - We hope that's not what this little losing streak means.

'I Won't Back Down' - The Reds keep giving it their all to stay in the race.

'Runnin' Down a Dream' - Striving for postseason glory.

'Feel A Whole Lot Better' - (A) With Dunn hitting in the #2 spot, (B) Now that Womack's gone, (C) With Harang on the mound. Take your pick.

'Yer So Bad' - <cough> Royce Clayton <cough>

'Depending on You' - This means you, fresh new relief corps.

'Alright for Now' - Pretty much sums up a record that's hovering around .500.

careless -Drive by Truckers

Careful that you don’t use up your ninth one, we all were careless once.
It can’t be too much fun, just going round once, it all can slip away.
One banana peel away.

You left this big ole void, sure miss your sweet voice.
Now we’re left holding on. We all were careless once.
We all were careless once.

Complication - aggravation
Is getting to you

If chicken little tells you that the sky is fallin'
Even if it was would would you still come crawlin'
Back again?
I bet you would my friend
Again & again & again & again

There's something right with the world today
And everybody knows it's wrong
But we can tell 'em no or we could let it go
But I would rather be a hanging on

Livin' On the Edge
You can't help yourself from fallin'

. . .or on a more positive note:

Doing alright
A little driving on a Saturday night
And come what may
Gonna dance the day away

Jenny was sweet
She always smiled for the people she'd meet
On trouble and strife
She had another way of looking at life.

News is blue (--the news is blue--)
Has its own way to get to you
What can I do (--what can I do--)
When I remember my time with you

Pick up your feet
Got to move to the trick of the beat
There is no lead
Just take your place in the driver's seat

Driver's seat, oohoo, driver's seat, yeah

Doing alright
A little driving on a Saturday night
And come what may
Gonna dance the day away

Driver's seat, oohoo, driver's seat, yeah

Jenny was sweet
There is no lead
Pick up your feet, pick up, pick up
Pick up your feet, gonna dance the day away

Driver's seat, oohoo, driver's seat, yeah
Driver's seat, oohoo, driver's seat, yeah
Driver's seat... (in the Wild Card standings anyway! :D )

SORRY, having too much fun with this thread, I guess.
Anyway, I'm gonna rename this one:

"Edwin's Song (to Jerry)"

What I got to do to make you love me? :(
What I got to do to make you care?
What do I do when lightning strikes me?
And I wake to find that youíre not there?

What I got to go to make you want me? :(
What I got to do to be heard?
What do I say when itís all over?
Sorry seems to be the hardest word.

Itís sad, so sad
Itís a sad, sad situation.
And itís getting more and more absurd.
Itís sad, so sad
Why canít we talk it over?
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word.

What do I do to make you want me? :(
What I got to do to be heard?
What do I say when it's all over?
Sorry seems to be the hardest word.

Itís sad, so sad
Itís a sad, sad situation.
And itís getting more and more absurd. :bang:
Itís sad, so sad
Why canít we talk it over?
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word.

Yeh. Sorry

What I got to do to make you love me? :(
What I got to do to be heard?
What do I do when lightning strikes me?
What have I got to do?
What have I got to do?
When sorry seems to be the hardest word.
