Could he be an option for this ballclub. 5th spot in the rotation is really up for grabs and Claussens struggles on this rehab assignment and Lohse track record as a starter this season. Hmmm... Just an idea from listening to Marc at the top of the 2nd inning with Marty. He seemed like Lohse wasn't set in stone for Saturday but baring a trade would get the nod.. at least one start.

Franklin who is a Free Agent on August 10th; which would be either Claussen or Lohse's start, would be a cheap pick-up if no one trades for him. I'd offer 26 year old Ed Valdez who is 7-5 3.41 85K/31BB

a guy who struggled to be average with steroids (or was that Pinero), think the Reds can pass on that one...not sure why people want a staff of Paul Wilson's.

It was Ryan Franklin. I'm guessing there isn't much reason to consider the guy.

Yes, it was Ryan Franklin and yes, there is no reason to consider him.

I'd rather take a chance on Ed Valdez than hand Franklin the ball.
