With the offense going MIA lately my question is which prospect would be more of a help the last two months of this season.... Votto or Bailey? In my opinion no matter how bad the offense gets (and with Royce Clayton being run out there everyday I imagine it could get pretty bad before it gets better) anybody that keeps Lohse/Mays/Claussen/any other ex Twins laying around from pitching every fifth day is a good thing.

I dunno. I'm starting to get into the mode where I'm looking more forward to seeing which prospects they bring up than whether or not they stay competitive. I've just had this sinking feeling... and it's not going away.

So I guess I'd like to see BOTH Votto and Bailey come up. And heck, why not Jay Bruce, too. Lets see what the kids can do in September, right? And that way we'll at least see them play before Wayne trades them for more bullpen help.

I think Votto is more major league ready right now of the two. Homer still needs to refine those secondary pitches, while Joey seems to be going full force forward. I think the jump from AA to the majors for good hitters isnt as tough as it is for pitchers.

Votto is more ready, but he's blocked by Scott Hatteberg - who is one of the few consistent producers on this club right now.

I guess that is true, but when the minor league season is done, I wouldnt mind seeing him come off the bench as a lefty PH if we needed one.

You won't see Votto till Aug 1st 2007.

Hatte will be with us utill next year at the trade deadline.. he'll be moved and Votto called up.

Neither is going to make this team that much better.

We have go with what we have.
