My Lord...8 innings, 2 hits, no walks. 56 PITCHES! I wonder if that is a record.

PS: He's done for the night. What a duel going on btw him and Schmidt. Maddux retired 22 in a row, no baserunners after the first. They just PH for him, so he's done.

Update...ESPN just said 68 pitches. CBS Sportsline had him at 56. Whatever it is, it's ridiculous.
