Claussen was 3 up 8 down. EZ was 4 up 9 down. Together, 7 and 17.

Team as a whole is 4 over .500. Those two starters were 10 under.

I know Win/Loss record is very imperfect. But maybe, with injured Claussen and young EZ off the squad, Reds record will improve. New starters, Lohse and either Michalak or Franklin need to perform better than Claussen/Ramirez.

EZ's record isn't good for the eyes... but if you look deep into it the kid had some great starts with no run support...

The last few weeks the kid is just tired..... I hope he comes back 1st of Sept rested and ready to roll.

EZ got some run support.. the offense just waited until he left. The Reds are 10-9 in games EZ started, and yet he has only left with 5 leads (2 ties)

EZ was also a frequent victim of some horrific D, even by Reds standards, early in the year. All in all I consider him a positive for this team and look foreward to seeing him progress over time. He was definitly the hard luck pitcher of 2006.
