Why this isn't the everyday lineup is beyond me. It's hands down our best lineup, AND our best chance to win every night. Maybe, just maybe, times are a changin'. I think Narron has done alot of good here, but he has never been the sharpest tool in the shed. It's the middle of August and he's now finally putting our best 8 out there. What took so long? Good things will happen tonight.

It's the good lineup!

Yeah!

08-16-2006, 07:47 PM
if bronson can ctay away from thier top 4 in the line-up he just might be ok tonight. I think I feel like I'm just going with the status quo on this but, I do prefer to see aurilia at SS as oppose to clayton/castro. Also D. Ross starting to night for Arroyo. I still like it. Whatever it takes to keep LaRue out of the batter's box!

Hopefully they are able to figure out Reyes this time around.

Love this lineup...hopefully we bash out like 20 runs so Narron never uses another lineup again, except for resting players.

08-16-2006, 07:52 PM
I love the enthusiasm here and totally agree with all of you as Ive posted on the Rich at SS thread. Bronsons gonna get his 10th win tonight. Im glad theres a majority of Reds fans getting behind this line up. It also doesnt hurt that Rich is hitting 444 agains the cards this season. Why we didnt see this line up last night I have no Idea. But Im sure tonight If they do as well as I think they will we're gonna see this line up on a regular basis from here on out..

Woah... that interview with EE on Real Reds was painful to listen to. Gotta respect that he is trying to learn english though.

ITHIKABAND
08-16-2006, 08:02 PM
I always feel sorry for these dominican guys on real reds. EZ on the pitching show portion barely made sense too and one of the most akward times was when they had the Valentine brothers chatting between both of them I couldnt make out a word..

ITHIKABAND
08-16-2006, 08:04 PM
Maybe Eddie being mexican american he cant start interpreting the real reds shows for our dominican guys..

steig
08-16-2006, 08:05 PM
Give EdE some time to adjust and learn the language. It took Pujols a couple of years to learn english once he got to the majors and Big Papi has dramatically increased his english since he joined the red sox, I believe it was required in part of his contract but I'm not 100% certain.

I didn't realize that Arroyo was the first pitcher since 1900 to win 9 of his first 15 decisions and then 0 of his next 10. That hurts (although there were 3 blown saves in those last 10).

Im almost starting to think that EE and Aurilla should switch spots in the order. Just because Dunn gets on so much. Its pretty obvious that he isnt going to move Griffey... so throw Rich between Griff and Dunn, and give EE some chances to hit with people on base.

ITHIKABAND

ITHIKABAND

keeganbrick
08-16-2006, 09:24 PM
This lineup is deadly with Rich at SS and Ross or Javy at C.Now just trade LaRue and DFA Clayton and we wouldnt have to worry about Narron giving them playing time.

justincredible
08-16-2006, 09:24 PM
If the Reds can manage 10-15 runs tonight then Narron has to keep this lineup or else he is a bigger dolt than I think. Too bad we can't clone EdE...

JapanRed
08-16-2006, 09:28 PM
The thing that should Tell Narron his line up is messed up when you walk EE to load the bases up, up by 2 runs, to pitch to dunn. to get the final out. DUnn and Griffey shouldbe batting in the 6-8 spots until they get their swing back. he should keep Ross and Valentine in as catcher and get rid of Larue, and keep Richie in the line up more.

KYRed
08-16-2006, 09:28 PM
Weren't the Cards announcers claiming Narron has a quick hook yesterday? Not that Reyes has pitched well by any means, but he's in much less of a bad situation than Harang was yesterday when taken out, not to mention 5 IP & close to 100 pitches vs. 3.1 IP & 45 pitches. Yet, I doubt they mention LaRussa's hook at all.

Tony didn't even let Reyes pitch to Bronson to get an extra out. I guess that doesn't matter too much though since Sosa is currently STL's version of Ryan Franklin.

ITHIKABAND
08-16-2006, 09:29 PM
Im feeling like somewhere along this whole bid that ive had for this line up since the Clayton trade I should get some respect points. But that doesnt happen on here when your right unless you kiss someones rear end!

keeganbrick
08-16-2006, 09:29 PM
Well Rich's range isnt the best at SS, but I would way rather have a little less range and a lot more offense at SS.

A lot of people wanted this lineup, I know I did. Also Castro should be the utility infielder, never Clayton.

ITHIKABAND
08-16-2006, 09:31 PM

Heya Keeganbrick you from Springfield Ohio?

RedlegJake
08-16-2006, 09:39 PM
RA has limited range. I agree starting him because Castro and Clayton are blackholes at the plate. RA will cost us at SS but hopefully his offense will more than make up for that.

If the Cardinals should tie the game in the 9th, Edwin WOULD have batted in inning 10. Rich A. is now at 3rd base.

Lohse vs Weaver tomorrow...who knows how that one will turn out. Weaver should revert to his old self, but let's hope Lohse doesn't and that he gives us another strong effort.

Does anyone know where I can listen to the game on the net?? What website? I know WLW.com will not stream games due to MLB regulations... It isn't on tv right??
