Is it just me or do the Reds do a very poor job of making contact in situations where there is a runner on 3rd and less than two outs. There are two things I just don't get and one is how you can't put the bat on the ball if you make the effort (the other is being able to throw strikes). My last two state championship baseball teams were exceptional offensive teams that put so much pressure on a team by making contact in key situations. I know I am comparing apples to oranges but it seems like too many times our hitter's don't adjust to what the situation calls for.
