Hey everybody,
First time poster. Long time reader.
I've been pretty stoked about the Reds this year. It's nice to see a winning record this deep into the season for a change. The Wild Card is in reach and the division is not out of the question. (though it's looking quite unattainable with this current streak...)
Now for the bad news... our decent record is nearly entirely comprised of beating on the "little guys".

The NL is simply sad this season... and the NL Central... well... you can see from the standings where they stand. It looks like the Reds have simply "survived" because of a really weak division. Not that I'll care, though, if they manage a winning season or even a playoff slot.
... but it looks like next year will require some major tooling if we want to actually compete rather than simply coast through a weak division.
I believe Krivsky will have the team looking good by '08 and '09 when his draft picks start to make their mark and we've ditched the black marks of the past GMs, who will remain nameless. '07 should be interesting at least.
What are your thoughts? Who needs to take a hike? (asides from Narron who I have to say I'm really getting fed up with...)
