It's a girl: Reds pitcher Aaron Harang and his wife, Jennifer, are first-time parents to a new baby girl. Addison Kay Harang was born healthy on Tuesday and weighed seven pounds, seven ounces.

Didnt see it posted anywhere!!! This is cool. I especially like the middle name. "Kay"

Go KAY em Harang.....

I know that Addison is a superpopular name right now, but these people need to think about the other teams in the Central division. A Reds baby named Addison seems highly inappopriate to me. Watch them name their first son Clark.

I'm guessing they think about this stuff 100% less of the time than I do.

Does he still leave in California? Or was the baby born in Cincinnati?

You want that they should name a child Main or Ft. Washington Way Harrang?

I predict that a very homely "Photoshop" version of baby Harang will be appearing soon on a computer screen near you...

congrats, Mr. Harang.
And for all the love that is good and evil, let us hope the only physical trait she gets from her father is his arm.

That reminds me of when Tom Seaver pitched for the Reds, one of his daughters was a friend of my younger cousin. The daughter was over at the cousin's house and my uncle, wiseass that he is, said "I hear there's a pretty good ballplayer in your house." Without missing a beat, she said, "Yeah, my sister!".

My cousin has informed me that Addison and Kay were the next-door neighbors on Mr. Ed.

Always nice to be reassured that there are people out there full of even more worthless information than I am.

Mr. Ed, huh? Some would say that Aaron has equine-like characteristics. I never knew Addison was a super-popular name. I can't say I've ever heard of anyone being named that until now.

The little ones. My aunt manages a peditrician's office and she gives me the scoop as I enjoy making fun of people's names. Last names are big with the kids these days. I have two little Addisons just on my street (both girls, one called Addy).
