What has Wayne Krivsky had to give up for the following players? Please update as you find out the answers if/when they are available.

Scott Schoeneweis
Sun-Woo Kim
Todd Hollandsworth
Ryan Franklin

Sun-Woo Kim was free. ("Future considerations," I believe.)

From Marc's blog today:

The Reds sent infielder Trevor Lawhorn to the Blue Jays as the player to be named in the Scott Schoeneweis deal. Lawhorn hit .224 with four homers and 28 RBIs in 91 games for the Sarasota Reds this season. The only remaining PTBNL is to the Indians in the Todd Hollandsworth deal.

And the one we get from the Marlins for Cody Ross, right?

I think we got C Ryan Jorgensen in return for Ross

Oh, OK I see that now. Thanks.

Actually that is not a bad return (especially considering the lack of depth at C). 27 yrs. old. Scouts say he is the best defensive C in the minors. Hitting is suspect. He may turn into something or just be a solid backup C. I like that move.

Jorgensen came to the Reds before the season started. Don't think a return from Ross has ever been announced, it may have been a quietly made cash payment.

You're right:

The Associated Press reports the Cincinnati Reds acquired C Ryan Jorgensen from the Florida Marlins for IF Carlos Piste. Jorgensen came to the Marlins in 2002 with SP Dontrelle Willis from the Chicago Cubs for SP Matt Clement and RP Antonio Alfonseca.

If this was the Bengals we know that payment might go in the "bail fund." I hope we don't/didn't take cash, there has got to be someone in Florida's minors that we would want.

It looks like the Reds got cash for Cody Ross. Thanks Redsmetz about the Link not working. I was able to get a link to work.

TO BE NAMED - The Reds completed one of their regular-season trades Friday, sending infielder Trevor Lawhorn to Toronto as the player to be named in the Aug. 16 Scott Schoeneweis.

Lawhorn hit .224 with four homers and 28 RBIs in 91 games for Sarasota.

The Reds have completed all but one of their trades for players to be named later. They still owe the Cleveland Indians a player in return for Todd Hollandsworth.

Your link didn't work, but I think the quote you have means on the players we received, we've still got one to send. I still have never seen anything that says we ever received cash for Ross.

I found this on http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/olympics/sfl-spmikebbase08oct08,0,6210236.column
"BARGAIN: When the Marlins acquired outfielder Cody Ross from the Reds back on May 26, the deal was announced for a "player to be named or cash." Despite Ross's surprising contributions, the deal has been completed for a "limited sum" of cash, according to a National League source. The amount is believed to be well below $50,000. There was also an agreement between the teams that the Marlins would send the Reds a non-prospect if one of their minor league affiliates got caught short-handed, but that situation never arose."

That seems to be the word on the street, and yet we've never seen an official announcement of such a transaction. Curious.
