A great servant for this ballclub finally getting his shot at the big time. Good luck against Oakland.

Couldn't agree more. If there is any person in baseball that deserves to taste post season success, it's him.

Agree 100%, I want to see the Athletics take the Series but I was proud to see The Mayor pounding those two-baggers into right-center.

Definitely pulling for Detroit.

Outside of Zito and Haren, Oakland bores me to tears.

Detroit is doing magical things so far. They're an incredible story.

Shutting down that vaunted Yankee lineup is the stuff legends are made of.

They've got all the ingredients of great theater.

I'm loving it. Go Tigers.

I am rooting 100% for the Tigers to pull it out. This team has been stuck in the mud for 15 some-odd years and it deserves some success.

And that guy playing 1st for the Tigers might have alittle to do with it.... ;)

I realize most here are rooting for the Moneyball/Billy Beane thing to win it and that's fine. But how you can not root for a team like the Tigers?

I can see the situation now.

Game on the line, Casey grounds in a game changing DP. Like we all haven't seen that before....

I'm glad Casey has had the chance to play for a good team--of course I don't know why they were hoisting up Leyland after the game; the manager doesn't pitch the ball or hit it. ;)

Casey had a good series at the plate. He hit .353 with 4 rbis, 3 doubles, 0 strikeouts, and hit into 0 double plays. Leyland had him batting 3rd tonight.

Congrats to Sean and the Tigers, I am pulling for them 100%.

When Casey is hot, he can do some serious damage with the bat.
We've all see THAT, too.

Good Luck to the Mayor.

Me too. I'm rootin; for Detroit all the way.

It'still comes down to what?

Pitching wins. The Mets and Cards (who I think will prevail don't have it).

Absolutely loved seeing Casey come up big in the ALDS vs. the Yanks. That was one incredible celebration (even if it was only getting to the ALCS)
