Has anyone been out there? Do you have to pay a toll or anything? Any suggestions for exploring?

I actually ran a marathon there in 2006. I didn't have to pay to get in because of that but I do think there is like a $3 or $5 charge normally. The main trail is a big loop that goes around the outside by the water. I think on the west side there is a beach. There are trails all through the park that would be good for a hike or a picnic or whatever.

I went there for the Perry Monument when I visited Cleveland this summer (for the Reds series). I don't remember paying a fee - but it was packed with lots of people on bikes and roller blades.
Here's the website:

Attached is some pics I took of the monument.

You shouldn't have too much trouble with the crowds or the flies (which were nasty). :p:

I haven't been there since I was in kindergarten when we lived in Erie. I haven't even heard that name in a long long time.
Ok, sorry TC, that was no help. :)
