I heard that "Sweet Lou" may replace Mr. Torre. Does anyone think the Reds would pursue him.

1) I think Torre is done. He got lucky by becoming the mgr of the NYY and is a lock for the HOF. He could only tarnish his legacy by going somewhere else.

2) Cincy shouldn't even entertain the thought. They need to spend the little $$$ they have on players (i.e., pitching). Maybe this year a real manager would have gotten this team into the playoffs, but on a normal season the Reds would have been 12 games out.

Torre would command big bucks and there are other holes in the boat that are more in need of being filled by those bucks.

Ah No on going after Joe. It's Pitching, pitching, pitching, and a little Offense to improve this team for next year.

I think Joe Torre's going to Florida and not to manage the Marlins or the Devil Rays.

Personally i never thought Joe was that good of a manager. He went to the right place at the right time. What was his record before the Yankees?

No slam on Torre.............but how good a manager do you have to be to put a $200 million dollar roster into the playoffs every year?

And honestly, it's not his fault. It's Steinbrenner's and Cashman's fault. They spent all that money and that's the best they could do? They should be able to stick my momma in as manager and win everything if they'd just spend their money right.
