Love my nano and it does all I ask of it.

I have a Volvo V50 with CD player but no cassette deck or input jack. So I am forced to use a FM transmitter to broadcast the signal from the nano to the car stero.

Do any of the electronics gurus here know of any better solution? I've looked around the internet for a direct input kit for the stereo or some sort of wireing harness adaptor but can't find any.

I'd like to eliminate the FM transmitter because I've tried many and they all pretty much suck.

Thanks......

A good car radio repair shop (not a car stereo specialist, not a Big Box store, but a place that fixes broken factory radios) should be able to tell you whether it would be possible for them to wire in an input jack. There may or may not be a pair of wires going into the radio that can be tapped into to use for your input - that's what a repair shop will know. If there isn't such a pair of wires, they may be able to find a place inside the radio to solder on an input.

How wedded are you to the factory radio? A car stereo store would be able to sell you a replacement that fits in your dash and has an input jack on the front.

Change the car stereo like UA said. I did it at Best Buy for about $100 and they offer to put back the old one for free if you ever want to sell the car in its orginal form
