View Full Version : The Return of Mike De La Hoz?

Just read through some posts made by a Reds Live poster and the similarities are quite striking.

Could it be? Has this been discussed?

The antiquated language, the recollection of some of the most obscure Reds to ever step on a baseball diamond, the inverted sentences...

Many of us have awaited- or dreaded- the return of the great one, I think it has happened. :)

Pretty sharp, Dom. You hear that Nixon resigned?

Someone also said that we put a man on the moon?

Shows you how much I read the Reds board, eh?

Someone has to keep this side of the world in business.

max and I are inventing every single type of thread under the sun: next week it is going to be "Threads You Almost Started But Thought Better of It."

I won't be able to include this one, apparently. :)

****I'll just edit this instead of bumping it up, but I have a feeling I'm going to be counting the days until this thread is on page 5....:)

As a frequent thread starter myself, I'd like to submit this thread idea for consideration: "Lamest thread you ever started and were later embrassed that you did"

I would also submit a thread of: "Why don't some people ever post on the non serrious threads or threads that are "your favorite......." types" but I don't want to be a trouble maker.

I blame Dom.

And I shall take the blame as long as it doesn't cost me anything....

De la Hoz was a fun guy. Anyone heard any news on Paul Popovich?

Must be reading my mind. I have thought this for a few weeks. I "support" this notion.... and so would Chick Hafey, the 1934 REDS leading HR hitter.

The dude, never met a comma splice, he didn't like.

And neither did Doug Flynn or Mike LaCoss.

Bruce Berenyi also has this problem, a conundrum if ever there was one!!!

Bruce Berenyi's biggest problem was the folks he threw to. I heard Dann Billardello could make a strong pizza, though.

For some reaon I still remember Bruce Berenyi's first ML start. IIRC, he gave up six runs in the first to put the Reds in a 6-0 hole and they came back to win 8-6. I think the opponent was the Giants, but I could be wrong about that. I laid in the front seat of my mom's 1975 Monte Carlo with scorebook in hand listening to WLW, because that was the only station we could pick up. Ahh, the memories.
