I like OBP, and I've always liked Polanco's game. Man, I'm weird.

There's an OPS junta? never knew.

But I still think the contract Detroit gave him was totally whack.

He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, for goodness sakes. MVPs do not wear hooded sweatshirts on the field. I bet his mommy made him put it on to keep his ears warm.

Good for him. Now he can etch his name on the cup held by the Adam Kennedy, Roberto Alomar, Marty Barrett, Frank White, Craig Counsell, and Manny Trillo's of the world

Don't forget immortals like Mike Devereaux, Sandy Alomar Jr., Eddie Perez, Sterling Hitchcock, Jeff Leonard and Darrell Porter.

Ah yes, yes this is stage two... if an award or praise is given, discredit the award.

My question is: who dislikes Polanco's game? I haven't heard him discredited on this site. He may have been, I don't know. But Polanco often has a decent OBP. Yeah, it's BA driven, but it's there.

Stage two of what?

It's not exactly a trade secret that LCS MVP awards are generally meaningless curiosities. Plus, I'm at a loss as to why Polanco got this award over Granderson, Monroe or Inge.

Monroe should have won it.
