Hopefully this means we have someone in Krivsky who has the same kind of edge too him.

Terry Ryan named Sporting News 2006 MLB Executive of the Year
Twins' general manager also won the award in 2002

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN -- The Minnesota Twins were informed today that General Manager Terry Ryan has been named the 2006 winner of the Sporting News Major League Baseball Executive of the Year Award.
Ryan, 53, built the 2006 Twins that finished the season with a 96-66 record, winning the American League Central Division for the fourth time in the last five years. He also won this award in 2002, the season in which the Twins made their first postseason appearance since 1991.

The award, presented annually by Sporting News magazine, is voted on by Major League Baseball executives. Ryan was presented tonight with a special crystal award by Sporting News Senior Vice President/Editorial Director John Rawlings in Naples, Florida, at the General Manager's meetings.

Can't think of any big moves he made this year. Did he win for getting rid of Castro, Mays and Lohse? Did he win for allowing Krivsky to leave?:D
