I'll predict the 2007 season based on the players we have now. No free agents, trades etc.

2007 25-Man
Fielders:
1B Scott Hatteberg
2B Brandon Phillips
3B Edwin Encarnacion
SS Alex Gonzalez
LF Adam Dunn
CF Chris Denorfia
RF Ryan Freel
C David Ross
(Bench)
Juan Castro, Javier Valentin, Bubba Crosby, Joey Votto, Brendan Harris

Pitchers:
Aaron Harang
Bronson Arroyo
Homer Bailey
Kyle Lohse
Eric Milton
(BP)
Mike Stanton, Gary Majewski, Bill Bray, Todd Coffey, Rheal Cormier, Elizardo Ramirez, Brandon Claussen

Predictions

Scott Hatteberg - Platoons with Votto out of ST. He'll get by. 8 HR .279/.367/.411

Brandon Phillips - Stumbles out of the gate. He hits only .230 for April, but regains form and finishes the year with .313/.359/.478. 21 HR.

Edwin Encarnacion - Becomes the offensive force of the team. Smokes pitcher right from Spring and never looks back. Tears his way to a .309/.381/.534. Drills 31 bombs and 46 2-baggers.

Alex Gonzalez - Goes very meh. Plays Gold Glove D. Hits .257/.289/.411

Adam Dunn - Posts a year rivaling his best yet. Learns to stroke a good deal of doubles. Finishes the year with 47 HR, hits .268/.401/.598.

Chris Denorfia - Starts in center after Jr. goes down with an injury in Spring. Hits 12 HR, .291/.363/.433.

Ryan Freel - Exposure gets him a bit behind. He'll rebound. .271/.388/.377

David Ross - Reverts. Hits 13 bombs, .233/.303/.413.

I'll figure pitchers in a bit.

I think Gonzo will be decent... I'm predicting .265/325/425 with 26 HRs 35 2Bs

I hope the offseason gets more interesting than this for us Reds fans. I love the AGon pick up and the LaRue trade. But for the Chad Moeller, Bubba Crosby, and Stanton deals are shear mind numbing. I'm almost afraid if Dunn, Ross, or any other Red is dealt because i'm afraid that the return will be as skull scratching as the most recent moves...

I predict Griffey has a solid year with over 30HRS and plays in 127 games. :)

How will Freel do on July 9 in the fifth inning?

I think that's a bit optimistic with the counting stats. There's plenty of room for that kind of thinking this time of year though. :)

Freel might have that game off.. I think Narron might have Farney penciled in. ;)

He's put up numbers close to that in the past. I was counting in for the GABP effect.

If we get 26 hr's from Gonzo, he'll be the fa steal of the year.

So where is the prognostication for Mr. Chad Moeller? I'm thinking he's the final piece to the puzzle - the dynamic backstop with the bat that won't quit who puts us over the top. World Series, here we come.

I keep spinning around this thread and I want to read it as "I go postal on the 2007 Season".

Sorry about the Doom & Gloom reference.... :D

You are wrong about David Ross there...
