I'll add:

The Blues Brothers
Grosse Point Blank -- witty, rapid-fire dialogue, and one of Dan Akroyd's better performances
Sixteen Candles -- Anthony Michael Hall gets funnier every time I watch this movie. His throwaway lines are side-splittingly hilarious.

Anything with John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, or Gary Cooper in.

I've got most of their movies on tape (especially westerns); but if it's on TV, I'm there.

Just ordered a DVD of Cooper's "Springfield Rifle".

IMO a great movie... but you have to have known a "dude" to really appreciate it.

I'm betting you haven't met a "dude" yet.

If so you're a lucky man.

Oh man. I think Steve Buscemi's character in The Big Lebowski may be one the all-time cinematic greats. And I'm being serious--Buscemi does one of the greatest, most subtle characterizations of an ineffectual soul that I've ever seen. It truly is art.

Funny thing in the movie's claim to fame is that it's billed as MJF's first movie ever. He almost ruins the movie. Melio and Barf bring it back to life.
