Ok, so this has absloutely NO relevance to anything, but since Dunn just became a father, does anyone know if he had a a boy or a girl? Name?

I thought you were going to tell us that at one time Adam Dunn was an ordained minister of the church and nobody knew.

Or that he had said that he was interested in becoming a priest after his baseball career was over.

As for the baby name, I haven't heard. I'll do some digging to see what I can find.

Father Dunn? Wasn't he Merlin Olsen's superior in Father Murphy?

The thread title sounds like a spin-off of Little House on the Prairie. Good stuff. :)

I found that he had a baby boy. Haven't found the name yet, though.

I have a feeling this may turn into a name suggestion thread for baby Dunn, some possibly in jest :)

Just like Roger Clemens, I think all of Dunn's baby names should start with a "K", maybe even a backwards http://www.redsoxdiehard.com/features/pics/kwhite.jpg

Just kidding.

Dunn likes country music, so he might have named his kid Brooks, with N for his middle initial.

Isn't "Git 'R'" a girl's name?

Is he married?

Red Leader

Is he married?

No, he is not. I thought I had heard that he had planned to get married either in the spring of next fall.

Not sure how accurate that is. It's been awhile.

I won't post the name for obvious reasons but for those in my neck of the woods the momma is a Greenup County Ky. native. Her family is a really nice bunch of folks.

Sac is a pretty manly name. However, I see how it could be seen as a little politically incorrect.

How was she as an athlete? Should we be scouting Dunn Jr in 16 years?

Too bad it wasn'd a girl. he could have named her Ida. It really would have been a good name for a lot of folks on RZ.

Knott
Batten
Miley

Dallas (Texans dig alliteration and naming kids after big Texas cities)
Houston (tribute to his hometown, but might not go over well with Reds fans)

Well, you know how they say something about seven degrees of separation or something? My sister-in-law's best friend used to work for Dunn's baby's mother's dad. So, yeah, me and Dunn's tight. :D

I teach in Greenup Co. and coach basketball, so here's hoping Dunn Sr. settles down in my backyard and I get a chance to coach Dunn Jr.

In more instances than not, the mother/wife moves to where her husband/baby's father resides. I highly doubt he'll leave Texas (and his beautiful home on that beautiful lake) for Kentucky.

There's only two things I know of that come from Texas.

Let him spend a weekend down at LBL.

He should consider himself lucky to have the honor of playing in a city so close to Kentucky.

There was all kinds of rude and/or funny things I was trying to think of to write but then I remember back to April 19, 2003. My little boy was born that day and he is the absolute light of my life. I won't disrespect another man's child being born. No matter what he does or doesn't accomplish on the diamond, this is the most important thing he will ever be a part of. Congratulations to Adam Dunn!
