per Marc:

Though many of the names on this list already have trickled out, the Reds finally released the list of guys they have invited to major league camp.

Among minor leaguers already in the organization, RHP Homer Bailey, LHP Michael Gosling, C Ryan Hanigan and IF Paul Janish will be in big-league camp.

As for players signed to minor league contracts and invited to camp, you've got C Miguel Perez, OF Dewayne Wise, IF Anderson Machado, RHP Tom Shearn, C Ryan Jorgensen, LHP Jason Kershner, RHP Victor Santos and C Dan Conway

In other news, Dr. Tim Kremchek examined and X-rayed Ken Griffey Jr.'s broken left hand over the weekend and found it to be healing as expected. Griffey will be examined again in about 10 days.

So Gangrene has set in and amputation is likely?

Nah. They've probably cut it off already. You know how news trickles out with the Reds about injuries. God, I hope Big Klu is over that pulled muscle they were talking about last week.;)

Interesting that Janish got an invite. Didn't expect that.

This is nice to see.. but I wonder if the Reds are still shopping Brandon Phillips?

I would be willing to bet that most of the "shoppoing" is done until ST starts. Someone would have to overwhelm Wayne with a package of ex-Twins to make a deal now.

Victor Santos? THE Victor Santos?

Apparently the Pirates optioned him in October and he opted for Free Agency. I don't recall seeing anything on signing him, so it must have just happened.

Any news on Guardado?

Knowing Wayne it's probably his father.

They're still negotiating with Guardado, and if he's signed, it would be a minor league deal.

It's pretty much expected that EG and Mercker will be back on minor league deals. One year with options, first year mostly rehab for Merck, the second he can pitch again. EG will be back in July if I understand it correctly.

Just my take on cobbling together various reports.

I think Brad Radke is coming out of retirement and signing with the Nats. Rumor is JimBo's shopping him as "fully recovered (clears throat)" with an asking price of Adam Dunn and Aaron Harang.

WK is VERY interested.

You're mixing up Jimmy Smits characters. He played Victor Sifuentes on LA Law and Matt Santos on West Wing. Sort of like Eddie Murphy calling Ron Howard "Opie Cunningham" on SNL! :)
