I will be there again this year and it will be my third straight year.

My first year was the game Reds vs Mets!
What a game!
Anyone... Joe Randa's walk-off HR!!!

Hope this year will be the year!

This will be my 5th Reds Opening Day in a row. I went to a couple back in the 70's.

I went to about 10 White Sox Opening Days back in the 80's, but they weren't the party that the Reds are.

If I get tickets, this will be my 9th Opening Day. My 5th straight. The only one I've missed in the last 9 years was in 2002.

IIRC this will be my 6th or 7th Opening Day (I missed a few). Went to my first in 2000.

This will hopefully (still need tickets) be my 10th out of the last 11...missed the opening of GABP due to being still stuck in Sarasota at Sarasota Hospital with an emergency appendectomy. Went down for Spring Training on a Sunday, and ended up in the hospital the next day...was in the hospital for 12 days due to complications. Had to watch it on ESPN from my hosital room.

Does anyone else feel like there are a lot of fans that go to the game, then leave by the 5th or 6th inning just to say they were at Opening Day? I hate that...I was there last year until the last out, and the Reds were getting drilled.

I've been about 30 times, the last 25 or so straight.

I can never get tickets with that stupid "online waiting room" thing.

I have been to opening day for the past 10 years at least, with the exception being in 2004---and before 1997 I went to each one between 1988-1995...I will probably be there this year whether I have tickets beforehand or not...me and a bud got lucky buying tix at face value from a guy at the end of a horribly long line ...he decided he and his kid would go to Newport and watch the game on TV...we got lucky and got in to gabp right before first pitch..

I'm going to try to get tickets like I always do. I've tried for 3 years, and been succesful twice.

I went to the first game ever at GABP, and watched the Pirates hammer us. It was still a great time.
My second was the Joe Randa game as well vs. the Mets.

I didn't go last year.

Just keep hitting refresh by yourself and you'll nomrally get it. Just keep constantly doing it, don't wait for it to do it by itself.

I am if I can get tickets. My first OD was in 1991, I think, and I've missed 3 since if memory serves me. I paid the big bucks a couple times on ebay.

I've been going every year since about 1980 or so, but missed a couple when the Reds changed over to how they sell Opening Day tickets. Last year, I was able to go when a Redzoner had a ticket to sell. I'm hoping I can get some this year.

With a little luck (and most likely a lot of money) this will be my 18th straight. We've had no luck trying online for the last 2 or 3 years and have had to go the e-bay route.

Regardless of what we have to go through to get our tickets, there is absolutely nothing like Opening Day in Cincinnati and I wouldn't miss it for the world. Next to Christmas, it's my favorite day of the year.

I doubt I will be able to make it this year. I'm starting a co-op the week before so I think they would frown upon me skipping work the first day of my second week. I have been to 4 Opening Day's:

1996
2002
2003
2006

This will be my 5th straight and 6th overall. Probably have to go through ebay, but always worth it. IMO much better than Christmas.

Quick question...have the Reds announced when Opening Day tickets will be on sale this year? Also, I'm assuming they will be selling the 8 game package similar to last year that went on sale a week earlier?

Thanks for any info. This will be my 4th or 5th Opening Day hopefully.

They are taking registration for OD lottery up till 5pm today and they sent out OD bonus ticket letters to Season ticket holders yesterday which say they will sell those b/t Thursday and Sunday this week.

I have missed only one since '92. went to several in younger years including Crosley Field with Dad. I even flew home from working in San Jose, Ca. in '95. (Also sat in the 2nd row for the Eagles Reunion Concert while home then):D:D Already got my voucher for this year, I'll be there!

I went to opening day from 1987-1993. I have not been to that special day since.

I don't think I have ever been to an Opening Day game, and I live in Texas, so I don't think it will be happening soon.

I honestly cant remember the exact year but I was in either middle school or a freshman in high school and I'm 24 now and have only missed 1 since because of spring break.
