I made out with my married boss last night and some of my coworkers took some pictures on their phones...

How should I handle this situation on work monday?

She's the one with the commitment, but that doesn't mean he thinks that way.

Here's what you do: Don't make out with your married boss. At least when photographers are around.

This is like Pandora trying to figure out how the hinges work on the box after she opened it. :)

Seriously, dude. I would have a talk with her, pronto, without seeming like you're too worried about it. Just to feel her out.

Let it go too long without saying something and you'll be that fool at the poker table who hasn't figured out which player is the sucker because it's, well , you.

Well, you'll get a call don't worry.

Next time, leave Potiphar's wife alone. She might be as embarrassed as you are. Alcohol does that to people.

Could you get one of your co-workers to e-mail you a photo and you post it on reds zone? Please?....I live a boring life in the winter.

You don't have much to worry about. If she's hot, you are the envy of all the guys. You will also seem more attractive to the other female co-workers as well...you are setting in the cat-bird seat my friend..:beerme:

Your boss is stupid, she should never have let herself be put in that position, like others have said I think she has more to worry about than you do.

This is great support of why you need to see how things are with this girl. Can her husband see the photos? Does anyone in the group know him?

Most of the negligence lies with her, but you'll be the one that takes the fall if her husband can't see that.

Oh yeah, cause corporate America is so moral.

My point wasn't that one actually is more moral than the other. Wherever people are involved, nothing's perfect.

My point was that corporate America doesn't have such rules, for the most part. I've worked in places where affairs were going on and nobody ever got punished for it. Adultery is legal, and to make it some sort of punishable offense by an entity that is notorious for breaking the law or acting immoral strikes me as strange.

. Adultery is legal, and to make it some sort of punishable offense by an entity that is notorious for breaking the law or acting immoral strikes me as strange.

Here's a few facts offered to offset a couple ofsweeping generalizations that have been made:
The Uniform Code of Military Justice does not specifically prohibit adultery, but it does contain a provision, Article 134, prohibiting "all disorders and neglects to the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces [and] all conduct of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces . . . ."
Manual for Courts-Martial expressly defines adultery as violating the "prejudice of good order" provision of the Uniform Code.

It is true that adultery often bespeaks a character flaw, but so do a host of other forms of private conduct that the military does not proscribe.

Adultery is illegal in 24 US states.

Apologize to her first thing Monday morning. Tell her she is a sweet gal, but between her being your boss and being married, it was a big mistake.

And don't go out drinking with them again. If you do, stay far, far away from her.

You're not doing her any favors by putting her in a very compromising position. Both of you could get fired.

Just to be clear, making out with your married boss is a really bad idea. Learn from it.

Very interesting. Thanks for the post.

All I've said is that it is a punishable offense. If it isn't specifically addressed but can fall under another umbrella and therefore be punishable, I'm not sure there is much of a difference.

In fact- it would probably make it worse because then some people get punished and some people don't.

No idea if that actually occurs but that's the situation the law seems to set up as written.

So is adultery......but, it shouldn't be a crime.

This is not commonplace.

No, it's not, but it was used recently. Not that I agree with life in prison for adultery. I would have much worse things to deal with, ie my father-in-law. I just won't go there.
