Spring Training get-together

It's that time again for all good RedsZoners to get together before the season starts and have a few adult beverages (or apple juice if you're Krono) and watch the Reds play.

The Reds will be playing the Phils at 1:05 p.m. on March 24th. We usually get together at Willie's on Montgomery Road and get in shape for the regular season. Some years we've had a lot of folks come out, others, not so much. But it's always a good time. It's not really necessary to say you're going to be there in advance but we'll need some kind of idea on how many tables we need to reserve.

OK...I went to the Porch of All Sorts:

The good news: Food was decent, no-smoking ban yet and they serve Coke products.

The bad news: The layout of the business is odd. Only one long table with stools and not in view of a TV. They do have two large projection TVs and two bars.

I wonder if we change Willie's locations? Instead of Montgomery. how about the new one in Mason (Arbor Square)? It pretty easy to get to from 1-75 and looks like good parking.

It appears Miss Kitty has pulled a disappearing act. She hasn't been on here for a week. It doesn't appear the Porch of all Sorts may be the best for our bunch. She mentioned the Blue Gose in Sharonville but I've never been there. If I don't hear from her by Monday, I say we try the Willie's in Mason.

OK... it's Willie's in Kenwood on Montgomery Road from noon until 5pm (or until the end of the game). I reserved tables in the back for 12 and asked for at least one TV turned to the Reds game. Name on reservation is Redszone (Cathy) - or just go on back...

I'll try to get there before noon.

Hope everyone had a great time! I am sure you did from the past gatherings I have been to. We had good intentions to be there. I went to bed a bit under the weather last night and wasn't feeling much better this morning. Not sure yet if it's a cold or allergy's. I am leaning more towards allergy's though. Didn't think everyone would enjoy me sneezing and blowing my nose all over the place every fer minutes. YUCK!! My eyes look and feel like I haven't slept in a week.

Poor TC is still dealing with fun family stuff:( .

We ate. We drank (water, pop, beer). We chatted. We laughed (come on, Redsland was there and he's as funny in person as he is in print). We questioned the front office. We questioned Jerry Narron. We cheered the Reds. I lusted after Adam.

It was pretty much like being on the board, only in 3D.
