Do you honestly think that he is better than Saarloos?

I don't see anything about this guy that impresses me. Seeing his numbers for past few years tells me more than than what he has done during the first two weeks of spring training does.

Name K/9 BB/9 HR/9 WHIP BABIP
Saarloos 3.86 3.93 1.41 1.66 0.315
Santos 6.32 3.28 1.25 1.66 0.362

Even up the BABIP and take away the favorable ballparks and he might be. Look at the K's, HR's and BB's. They're both number 5 fodder IMO. Saarloos is younger though.

Last spring Jake Robbins was nearly unhittable & Tony Womack was a potential Silver Slugger.

Just saying....

Josias Manzanillo dominated ST a few years back.

I think Santos would be most beneficial to the Reds coming out of the 'pen.

He would be good in limited doses, bad thing is, limited roster room.
