After watching the Reds against Davis last night and against Lilly last Wednesday, I'm a bit concerned about the Reds against lefties. While Conine has been doing fine, Ross and Phillips have been slow out of the gate. With Freel, Dunn and Edwin added to the mix, the 1-4 hitters are 11 for 56. I know it's early in the year, but is this a potential problem?

I think it is, specifically with EE. If the Reds are going to have success against lefties then EE is going to have be the guy to drive in runs. In the 3 losses (all against lefty starters) EE is 1 for 10. In the 4 wins he is 6 for 14. Overall against lefthanders he is 3 for 12. If EE doesnt drive in runs against lefthanders then the Reds offense will struggle to score runs.
