King Felix has a no-hitter through 5 innings at Fenway. This kid is going to win the AL Cy Young this year.

5 innings so far, no hits for Boston....and not a single ball out of the infield....

Felix is pretty nasty tonight or as George would say:

"That's very dirty, that's absolutely filthy."

Yes...and he's only 21 and is making a paultry $420k this season....

There is magnitudes of order difference between he and homer right now but this is what we all hope Homer is capable of too...

Dice-K will. Because of the hype.

You know I recall some smart little fella calling for King Felix to outduel a certain Japanese import tonight....

Between Dice-K and Felix, it looks like a little league world series game out there. Both of them look so young.

If you saw Felix's last outing against Oakland, then you really weren't goiing out on a limb with tonight's prediction....

Lol Ive been saying it about him for 2 years now. I am just glad that Seattle is letting him throw all of his pitches now.

I was just looking through some old threads where a few Redzoners shot down the suggestion of a Kearns for King Felix trade in November 2004 (not that Seattle would have done it).

How amazing would that heist have been?

That's pretty funny....even if Kearns lived up to his potential...

Matsuzaka either isn't afraid to go up and in to multiple hitters in a game, nearly hitting them in the head, or he's having control issues tonight lol

The Ms and Bosox had some issues last night related to that...

Ibanez is generally a below average defensive leftfielder...whe he makes catches like that, we might be watching something really special tonight...

Is it perfect or just no hits?

There's an E in the box score. Edit...that's on Boston.

I've watched both his starts now since hes on my fantasy team. I might have to make this a regular thing, this kid's somethin else.

Razor Shines

Well I'd say send him down to AAA. That's now 6 guys that have hit the ball to the outfield of the 53 that he's faced this season. If he can't keep that number to 5, why would you want him?

Conversely for us, I think Milton has 6 guys he's faced that have NOT hit it to the OF.

Hmmm, now that I think of it, I wanted this to be a joke, but it might be less of one than I originally thought.

Dice-K beaned Guillen earlier in the game BTW...

I don't understand Francona there. Romero got the first two outs, including a tough out vs. Sexson, yet he pulls him for the next RH batter (Guillen) who promptly kills a shot down the left-field line and then walks the next guy?

Overmanage much?

Some Redzoners wouldn't be happy if the Reds had traded him for Santana. Everybody's entitled to their opinion though.

Yep, but I'm just strange that way.

Think about it though, the RedSox are getting no-hit through seven innings by a guy who just turned 21. A little tension might be enough to shake up the kid.

Oh well, Drew just broke it up.

Like the time they showed all of his strike outs but none of his 5 walks or any of the Reds hits on sportscenter after the ST game? Oh ESPiN, how I despise you.
