i prefer a sunny day game, vs a night game, but each have their advantages...

I prefer evening games that stretch into twilight. A 5pm start on a Saturday in May is just about as perfect as you can get.

I like day games although maybe the current weather is making me biased. I'd like to watch the Clippers tonight but it's not worth sitting outside after the sun goes down.

Now, if the Yankees were still here and Philip Hughes was scheduled to pitch then it might be worth freezing:)

I prefer day games.

I"ve attended more night games and like them too. :)

I've grown up in an era where all of the major sporting events take place under the lights. So I'm programmed to associate night games with added energy and importance. I'll take night over day any day of the week :)

I think day games are more fun; they make me feel more like a little kid. But I think I prefer night games for the air of excitement that surrounds them. It's like going to the theater; it's an event. You look forward to it all day long.

All the games I've been to have been day games.

This remind me of the nutcase calling into WLW and proposed to start games at midnight. He says his friends don't even think about going out until 11 pm.

But I'm thinking starting a game in the middle of summer about 9pm occassionally wouldn't be such a bad thing. Especially on those hot summer days. It might shake things up a little.

Totally agreed. Is sweatshirt weather an option?

Nothing worse than a mid-July day game in the sun with no air circulation. And being surrounded by a lot of B.O.

Day games outside.

Nothing worse than springing for a Sunday afternoon game on a beautiful day and the ballpark's roof is closed because some pitcher decides he throws better with the roof closed.

IMHO - 1pm Spring Training games during the week are this baseball fan's drema

night games, on the 1st base side....no sun, in the shade, with your kids wearing reds jerseys, eating ice cream......I feel very blessed.:) :)

Unless it's early in the season, I prefer night games. I have way too many memories of baking in the hot sun and astroturf at Cinergy. Plus I like to have a few adult beverages while I enjoy the game. So when I'm sitting in the sun, I can't just have 2 beers. I have to have two beers and two bottles of water to avoid the dehydration, which means I end up going to the bathroom more often from all the fluids. I love a nice summer evening after the sun has gone down.

I've never made it to a day game. It's easier to drive down from Columbus for a night game.

It depends on the weather. I really enjoy a day game if it's not too hot. Opening Day was absolutely perfect for me this year. When it gets into July and August and it's up near 90 during the day, I'd rather come at night when it's more comfortable out. If the weather is nice though, I'd rather go during the day.

I'd rather go to a day game. But a night game is good. After all, it's still baseball. :)

Due to my work shift I am consigned to attending night games. But day games. The difference is night and day. :mooner:

And I love those mid-summer games where it's 90 degrees. Bring it on baby!

Day game for me! The sun is totally brutal on the leftfielders (& the fans that sit out there) at the beginning of night games. I don't know how Adam Dunn sees the ball at all.

Night game if I'm taking a kid for their first time. Day games are just fine for me if I'm going with some friends. It's best if it's a little breezy, not too hot and I'm in the shade. Cold beer and a braught don't hurt the atmosphere either.

Depends on the temperature.

Yep. In April, May, and September I prefer day games. June July, and August, I'll take a night game please.

Night games please! My first Reds game was at night and I remember the excitement of the ballpark in lights at the end of the game - like VP said it seemed like an event. Also, I hate baking in the sun and the fireworks look better at night (for HRs and wins)!
