He really did throw a grease ball.

In one game against the Reds a tube of KY Jelly fell out of his warm up jacket pocket as he was thrown out at home plate.

Give me a league average reliever with a decent head on his shoulders and I'll give you a guy who can get 30 saves a year. It takes a lot of skill to be a dominant closer. It takes a manager willing to put you in the game with a small lead in the 9th on a regular basis to be a decent one.
