Someone just dropped Wheeler in one of my leagues and Mike Gonzalez is also available on the waiver now as well. With Wickman being put on the DL which one would you pick up?

I would be dropping Torres to pick either one up. I believe Torres will be out of a job soon.

This league has holds but my strategy is to get a big enough lead in saves and then trade a couple closers later in the year and pick up some holds off the wire.

I currently have F. Cordero, F. Rodriguez, Al Reyes, and Torres as my closers. 2 RP and 2 P spots.

I also could try to sell Reyes high right now and pick both Gonzalez and Wheeler up.

Thoughts?

Houston's offense has been so pathetic. Granted it has to be better than it has been, I just don't see Wheeler being that effective in terms of saves. I' leaning toward Gonzalez.

Gonzalez for the short run IMO.

I read that Soriano would fill in as closer for Atlanta while Wickman is out.

Everything I've read said that they would both be used and Gonzalez would have the better chance for more saves since he has the experience.

You never really know though.
