I am ready to concede that his days as a league-average offensive catcher were done when we sent him packing.

Wow, those are some pretty ugly numbers. Glad the Reds made the decision they did to move him.

Thank God we have Chad Moeller.

We should get a pool going. Who will have better numbers at the end of the season, Moeller, Ross or LaRue.

Ross only needs to go 1-5 tonite to raise his batting average.

I remember people complaining about that trade.
I don't. Although I do remember people complaining about sending out $2 million and only getting a PTBNL in return. Oh, and the return of the three-headed monster when Moeller was signed. I remember that, too.

Moeller can catch a baseball.
Moeller isn't a whiner.
Moeller's salary is less than the money saved by trading LaRue so we did save some money overall by getting the Royals to take LaRue and pay ~1/2 of his salary.

I was one that would have preferred LaRue staying; obviously I was wrong.
Just think, Krivsky could have dealt Javy and kept LaRue, Ross and then added Moeller? How 'bout that troika of hitting prowess?
