Belisle has to be thinking "What the hell did I do to deserve THIS?".

Just goes to show you the current state of the Reds 25 man roster right now. If they are on the roster, you have to play them at some point.

On a side note, we need to get redskin to some more games!

Which is EXACTLY why Hamilton should have been in Denver today for the game. It's ridiculous that he's not.

I think Belisle would have a better shot with the Bats starting 8 today.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they'll score at least 5 runs today.

Phillips just had a day off a few games ago. Why would they sit him again? And sitting Dunn in Denver where his long fly balls can turn into Homers?

Dunn is sick thom just said it on the opening before the game

Just read that somewhere...and Also read that Phillips has been at about 75% the last week or so due to soreness in his side. So...I know this isn't the most potent lineup we can put out there, but as fans most of us don't have all the inside information at hand that the Managers do..so we can call as many people idiots that we want..but it kind of makes us look stupid doing so. If we were really smarter than the coaches/GM/players/etc....why aren't we running the show?

 I'm going Friday and Saturday against the Indians so hopefully that bodes well for Homer's first start. I'd be glad to go to more if I had the time!!!

So you are suggesting the Reds ignore the medical advice against bringing Hamilton to Denver and fly him out there for one game anyway?

What medical advice??? He was fine to play in Durham today. And if the advice was he'd need a day to recover after traveling.........are there not flights from N.C. to Denver on Friday??? Have a little foresight, or are they worried about him missing a game for freaking Louisville?

All I know is Thom said that the Reds were advised by their medical staff to not fly him to Colorado for one game. I have no idea why this advice was given, not everything that goes on with a team is revealed to the media. Anyway, does it really matter if this 22-35 team has Josh Hamilton for one game in Colorado? Besides, unless they planned on using him instead of Majewski in the 8th inning, I don't think Hamilton would have made much of a difference in today's game...

when hamilton gets back, my lineup consists of:

1. hamilton
2. edwin
3. griffey
4. dunn
5. phillips
6. hatteburg
7. gonzalez
8. ross

it seems simple enough to me that over the course of a game, the course of a series, and ultimately the course of a season, that i want my 4 best hitters to get the most at bats. these are the hitters that get on base and can drive the guys in front of them in via the home run or an extra base hit.

run that lineup out there and STICK TO IT. throw conine in there for hatteburg if needs be, but we cant have continuous batters that make outs at the top of the lineup.

Then you should move Dunn down to 7th, and move Gonzo up.

Dunn's .353 OBP puts him 3rd on the team behind Griffey and Hatteberg in "not making outs". Gonzalez's OBP is 30 points lower.

That lineup scored 5 runs yesterday. Dunn was scratched because of an illness, so it's not like the lineup was awful.

I'm not a big fan of Jerry either, but I have a feeling he can't do anything right.
