View Full Version : Wow! Josh Hamilton's throw to first to double up Aaron Miles

I know it was probably talked about in the game thread last night, but i feel it deserves a thread of its own.

What about Josh Hamilton's arm on his throw to first to double up Aaron Miles?

That looked Ichiro-esque. He could have the best arm of any NL outfielder. If Jim Bowden thinks the outfielders that he brought in were 5 tool players, Josh Hamilton is a 10 tool player.

I marvelled about it in chat for several innings afterward. It was amazing that he was going _away_ from the bag and threw across his body.

It wasn't a perfect strike but it was good enough to get the runner. Very, very good D.

We wouldn't've seen that last year.

I missed that play last night. Anybody know what inning it was in? I want to go back on mlb.tv and watch it.

2 things really impressed me about that throw.

1 - his momentum was carrying him towards short which made it a hard throw for a lefty, and
2 - he almost OVERTHREW Hatteburg.

This kid is amazing.

lets also not forget that despite going against his momentum, that throw was ON A ROPE!!!

What is not to like about this guy? :)

Hamilton has always had a great outfield arm. This just confirms it.
