I've collected since I was little, but I've been out of the card collecting business for a few years now.

My question here is, does anyone know if Bailey has a rookie card out this year, or will it be in next year's editions? I'm looking forward to investing in our promising young talent in the next few years.

Due to the new MLBPA rules, rookie cards can't be produced as such until the player is on the major league roster. Since he had his MLB debut this year, he'll be eligible for the later releases this year for his "official" rookie card.

However, the new MLBPA policy has created a mess for rookies that have already have cards and most people in the hobby will not recognize these new cards as his true rookie. Simply because they aren't his first mainstream cards making it impossible for these new cards to be a true rookie card. For Bailey, those are in 2004 products. If you want to invest, go for his 2004 Bowman Chrome.
