Fact of the matter is that the Reds don't hit lefties well at all.

Also, gotta give it up for Belisle, he pitched a pretty good game.

Yay lets keep playing Freel and Hopper over Edwin.

Fantastic.

He's no better then Narron folks.

That was Glavine's 298th win. Did anyone on the Game Thread even mention that he was pitching? His lifetime record against Cincinnati is now 27-12. He's beaten only two franchise more times -- Washington/ Montreal (32) and Philadelphia (28).

As we Red's fans have seen so many times in the past, if you don't get Glavine early, you're not going to get him.

If you consider Lohse and Stanton as part of the core of this team, then I have to question just how many Reds games you've actually seen.

They pitch because they are filling roles until younger guys are ready. I shared your gloom and doom outlook in previous years, but there is finally a plan to win in place and patience is the key word for this year and maybe next. You can't rebuild a ML farm system overnight. Good drafts and good personnel decisions over the course of 3-4 years is the recipe for this organization. It stinks to watch years like this one roll by, but that is the reality after all the mismanagement under previous ownership.

yes I am sure the rest of the league is trembling, quivering at the juggernaut that is the Reds., You should hear the Mets announcers refer to this "squad" " an awful, awful, baseball team". The Mets took three of four and their fans are complaining, the reds win one game and tons of on line "fans" defend this morass of ineptitude, I guess you get what you ask for

Right, because the most important thing for the ballclub is to "win right now". Not:

*showcase players that will possibly be traded
*see what our younger players can do

Maybe we can finish 4th!

On tenterhoooks for your indecorous rejoinder!
