I just wanted to discuss what everyone thought about Keppinger at short and batting 2nd. I'm really looking forward to seeing him play at short. He hasn't played there a whole lot in the minors or so I hear.

I thought Lopez did a great job there last night.

Yeah, but didn't he go 0-fer? We need more than just a solid glove when we only score 10 runs.

Though, I too am interested in seeing as many of our young guys get some action now to see how they pan out.

Defensively yes but with the bat not so much. I wonder if Bobby Livingston can play shortstop?

Yeah, left handed shortstops are definitely a commodity.

i don't mind seeing keppinger get a start. He's a georgia boy and deserves to get a chance to play infront of his hometown fans and family. He had pretty good swing on his single last nite.

Yes, sir. That game ended Phillips 11 game hitting streak. If I'm correct Pete Rose's 44 game hitting streak ended in Atlanta also.

I dont mind this lineup as Phillips has shown some ability to get the timely hits expected from cleanup hitters. Gonzalez is taking care of some stuff about his daughter might as well see what everyone can do while he's gone.

because the season is over, we need to see who can do what over the next 2 months

I've been wanting to see Keppinger get in the lineup, too. Hopefully, he can play decent D, because I think he is a major league hitter.

The Reds might as well trade EE. Poor guy. Batting 7th? This manager is no better thatn Narron. Yet EE continues to play well despite the horrible positions he is put in the lineup.
